Future Capital lists at premium

MUMBAI: Shares of Kishore Biyani-led Future Capital Holdings, which raised about Rs. 490 crore through its initial public offering last month, on Friday surged nearly 19 per cent over its issue price on debut trade at the bourses.

The shares opened at its intra-day high of Rs. 1,081 on the National Stock Exchange, garnering a premium of 41.3 per cent over the IPO price of Rs. 765. However, it dropped to the intra-day low of Rs. 825 before settling at Rs. 909.80.

On the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares settled at Rs. 908.20 on the first day of trade. It touched an intra-day high of Rs. 1,100 and a low of Rs. 826.10. On both the bourses, shares closed the day with a gain of about 19 per cent over the issue price.

The company commanded a market capitalisation of about Rs. 5,750 crore in its first day on the bourses.

Future Capital Holdings listed over 6.32 crore equity shares after the successful completion of its IPO, which had received over 11.71 lakh applications and bids for 85.7 crore equity shares against 64.22 lakh shares on offer. — PTI
